Express Entry

Express Entry is an online application system for permanent resident applicants under three programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Program. The following chart identifies the requirements of the different programs.

Work experience At least 1 year of continuous work experience in the past 10 years in a job categorized in NOC 0, A or B At least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada in the past 3 years in job(s) categorized in NOC 0, A or B At least 3 years of skilled trades work experience in the past 5 years in a job categorized in NOC Major Groups 72, 73, 82, 92, 632, or 633; meet the job requirements for that skilled trade; have a valid job offer of full-time employment for a total of at least 1 year or certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal authority.
Education Secondary institution (high school) or post-secondary institution No requirement on education but could be used to improve rank in the Express Entry pool No requirement on education but could be used to improve rank in the Express Entry pool
