Eligible occupations: Home Child Care Provider (NOC 4411) and Home Support Worker (NOC 4412)

Work experience: 24 months of full-time work in Canada in the past 36 months.

Language requirement: CLB 5

Education: post-secondary education credential of at least 1 year in Canada or equivalent.

Eligibility: you must be a pending or failed refugee claimant living in Canada, and you must have made your claim before March 13, 2020. You have been issued a work permit after you made your refugee claim, and have required work experience in specific jobs in Canada’s health-care sector.

Types of jobs:

Nursing co-ordinators and supervisors (NOC 3011), Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 3012), Licensed practical nurses (NOC 3233), Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates (NOC 3413), Allied primary health practitioners (NOC 3124), Home support workers (NOC 4412).

Your job must match the NOC description, you must have provided direct patient care in these jobs, and you did most of the main duties listed in the NOC description for these jobs.

Amount of time in a qualifying job:

1. Between March 13 and August 14, 2020, you worked fro at least 120 hours

2. Before August 31, 2021, you have a total work experience of either full-time work of 30 hours a week for 6 months, or part-time work for 750 hours.

If you don’t have the total work experience yet, you can still apply. You have until August 31, 2021 to get all the work experience you need, and IRCC will accept your proof of work experience until October 31, 2021.

Have relevant experience in cultural activities or athletics, and be willing and able to make a significant contribution to the cultural or athletic life of Canada.

Relevant experience: taken part in cultural activities or athletics at a world-class level, or been a self-employed person in cultural activities or athletics.

Duration of experience:  at least 2 years of relevant experience during the period starting 5 years before the day you apply and ending on the day a decision is made on the application.
